「角シボ」という独特なシワ模様の型押しをしたた顔料染牛本革。 さらに表面に、防水・防汚処理を施しています。
 
◎顔料染め
素材そのものに塗料を浸透させていく染料染めに対して、素材の表面に 色を塗布していく顔料染めは、発色が良く、湿気やキズ、汚れに強く、 染料染めに比べ経年変化が進みにくいので、お手入れに手間をかけるこ となく安定的に日常使いできる、ノートの表紙としてとても使い勝手の 良い素材です。
 
◎型押し
金型を革の表面にプレスして、凹凸の模様を定着させる加工方法。 原材料に残る血筋やキズ・ムラなどを目立ちにくくし、使用時の 擦りキズや汚れを防ぐ効果もあります。
 
◎アルマイト
アルミの表面の腐食防止やキズをつきにくくする硬化、着色を目的として行われる化学的な表面処理方法です。この処理を行うことで素材の耐久性と装飾性が向上、高品質でより魅力的な部材に生まれ変わります。この製品では、サンドブラスト（ツヤ消）処理をしたものに、アルマイト加工を施し、さらに高級感のある部材に仕上げています。
 
 
◉Material
Pigmented cowhide leather embossed with a distinctive “Kaku-shibo” wrinkle pattern. The surface is also treated for water and stain resistance.
 
◎Pigment Dyeing
Unlike dye-based coloring, which penetrates the leather, pigment dyeing involves applying color to the surface. This method results in vibrant coloration and makes the material more resistant to humidity, scratches, and stains. Compared to dye-dyed leather, pigment-dyed leather is less prone to aging, making it a practical and low-maintenance option—especially ideal for everyday use as a notebook cover.
 
◎Embossing
Embossing is a process in which a metal mold is pressed onto the leather surface to create a raised and textured pattern. This not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also helps conceal natural imperfections such as veins, scars, or blemishes, while offering added protection against scuffs and dirt during daily use.
 
◎Anodizing
Anodizing is a chemical surface treatment applied to aluminum to prevent corrosion, harden the surface, and add color. This process significantly improves both the durability and visual appeal of the material. In this product, the aluminum parts are first sandblasted to achieve a matte, non-reflective finish, then anodized to create a refined, high-end look with enhanced wear resistance.
